JPEG is the superior format for photographic or continuous-tone images, and
GIF is preferred for noncontinuous tone images or those with large areas of
flat colors and GIF has animation easy. The PNG format is a patent-free replacement
for GIF that includes support for indexed-color, grayscale, and true-color images.
It also provides alpha channel support for transparency.
We recomend you use PNG because it's free.
MetalWEB depends on picture datatypes being installed on your system. If you want
to get PNG, GIF or JPG on your pages please download the correspondent file. And
please remember that only v43 picture.datatype allow truecolor pictures to be loaded
and displayed in full color resolution.
